We started RiskPoolPro because we were tired of fighting with systems that did not understand the unique needs of insurance pools and risk-sharing cooperatives.
How we started
In 2019, our founders were managing a municipal insurance pool covering over 200 cities and counties. The existing software was a patchwork of legacy systems, endless spreadsheets, and manual workarounds.
Every renewal cycle meant weeks of data reconciliation. Every board meeting required heroic efforts to compile accurate reports. The technology was supposed to help, but it was actually the bottleneck.
We looked at dozens of solutions. Everything was either built for traditional insurers (which have completely different needs) or was so generic it could not handle the complexity of pooled risk management.
So we built RiskPoolPro—the system we wished we had when we were running pools ourselves.
